This is the first time that this event will be held in North America. The WMA Indoor Championships is an international track and field competition for master athletes, age 35 and over. The Stadia events include indoor track & field (sprints, hurdles, relays, horizontal and vertical jumps, throws and indoor pentathlon). The Non Stadia events include 10km Race Walk, 8km Cross Country Race, Half Marathon and Throwing events (hammer, discus, javelin). This event promises to be an excellent opportunity for masters athletes to participate in an international competition, to network with fellow athletes and to visit British Columbia, Canada. Lifelong athletes make fitness fun. Their sport is a part of their social life. Come to Kamloops and enjoy the camaraderie of WMA 2010 Indoor Championships. Catch the enthusiasm and spirit of British Columbia for 2010. Enjoy the Olympics in Greater Vancouver (February 12th – 28th) then travel to the interior of British Columbia for the World Masters Indoor Championships (March 1st – 6th).
