General Conditions for 13th Oceania Masters Athletics Championships
Closing Date
Entries close on the 10th December 2005 with the Championship Secretary

Proof of Age
All entries must be accompanied by a copy of the competitor’s birth certificate or passport.

Uniforms
National uniforms must be worn in all events.

Competition Rules
Competition will be conducted under IAAF and WMA rules subject to any special rules laid down by the Local Organising Committee. Entry signifies that each competitor will abide by the rules.

Age Groups
Competition will be conducted in the following five-year age groups for men and women:
30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94, 95-99, 100+.
In accordance with WMA rules competitors may only compete in the age group for which they qualify on the 14th January 2006, that is the first day of competition.

Entry Rules
All New Zealand entrants must be financial members of Associations or Clubs affiliated to the New Zealand Masters Athletics. All overseas competitors must be financial members of the national controlling body for Masters Athletics in the country they are representing. Competitors from outside the Oceania Region of WMA may compete by invitation.

Awards
The first three competitors in each event will receive medals. Entrants from outside Oceania who finish in the first three places will receive the appropriate medal but will not displace eligible Oceania competitors.

Medical Conditions
Any competitors with medical conditions that could affect medical treatment in the event of injury or illness are requested to notify these condition(s) with their entry form to assist in providing prompt appropriate care.

Venues
All events, with the exceptions of the half marathon and the 10km road walk, will be held at Queen Elizabeth II Stadium which will be the Championship headquarters. Transport will be provided to and from the half marathon course at Tai Tapu, approximately 30 minutes from the city centre. Competitors must provide their own transport to the 10km road walk which will be held in Hagley Park in the city centre.
